The luxury mega yacht SeaDream II has berthed at Warrenpoint Harbour, bringing guests from around the world to the town.

The vessel is operated by SeaDream Yacht Club and is among the high-end cruise ships now calling at the harbour. Newry, Mourne and Down District Council has welcomed the visit as a boost to the district’s growing reputation as a destination for cruise tourism and maritime visitors.

Warrenpoint Harbour has increasingly featured on the itineraries of cruise operators in recent years, with visits from vessels of this kind bringing passengers into the town who go on to explore the Mournes and Carlingford Lough area. Each call also offers a lift to local businesses, with visitors often taking the chance to see the town and its surroundings during their stay.
