East Coast Coaches Provide Perfect ‘Script’ for NHS Workers

East Coast Coaches

East Coast Coaches has announced it will be providing free coaches for NHS/HSE workers to The Script concerts on Monday 8th and Tuesday 9th February 2021.

There will be two completely free coaches provided. One leaves from Belfast, calling at Lisburn, Banbridge and Newry, with a second bus leaving Dundalk, stopping at Drogheda on each of the dates. The gesture is aimed at showing the company’s gratitude to the NHS/HSE staff for their work during the pandemic.

Sean Connolly, Manager of East Coast Coaches said, “When we heard that The Script were laying on two free concerts to thank NHS/HSE front line staff and Primary Care workers at Dublin’s 3Arena, we wanted to do something too.

“Our primary care workers and many other frontline workers have been amazing throughout this pandemic. We would like to show our thanks and appreciation for their work. While there are many people who have gone above and beyond during Covid-19 we have applied the same criteria as for the concert. You must have a valid concert ticket and an original NHS/HSE ID with you to board the bus.”

Difficult Trading Times

Sean Connolly continued, “This has been a particularly difficult period for the travel industry including the bus and coach industry. Unfortunately, we have had no work from March and little Government support for the industry. We were gearing up for a record growth year with business better than ever when this pandemic struck. We are now just trying to do what we can to give people the confidence to return to public transport. Busestoconcerts.com was performing particularly well but the concert market completely disappeared in 2020.  As a company though, we felt that even at such a difficult time for ourselves, it is important that we give back.”
