The NI Blood Transfusion Service will be coming to Warrenpoint on 12th August. The sessions will beheld at St. Marks High School from 10.30am – 1.30pm and from 3.00pm – 6.00pm.

The Blood Transfusion Service is taking precautions due to the current Coronavirus pandemic and advise that anyone who is unwell, has had COVID-19 or has had contact with someone with COVID-19, whould not attend. Temperature checks will be carried out on arrival and hand sanitiser and washing facilities will be available. Donors are asked to come alone to help ensure social distancing in waiting areas.

Who can donate?

Anyone aged 17 or more on the date of the session can donate. First time donors can donate up until their 66th borthday. Donors should weigh at least 50kg (7 stone & 12 pounds), and should have a healthy blood count which will be checked prior to donation by taking a tiny drop of blood from the fingertip.
